Raw data - Metal corrosion in musical instruments induced through material combinations: A survey in museum collections

Raw data - Results of the Survey, version 2025.01 This dataset contains the collected results of a survey on contact corrosion on musical instruments in museum collections. The survey was developed to support the conservation and collection care activities of musical instrument collections. It shall enhance awareness of degradation forms of contact corrosion on musical instruments and support the development of specific methods to mitigate degradation. The study was performed on an international level, involving visits to several collections and interviews with staff working with musical instrument collections. The published version contains the data of the surcey collected between 8/2022 - 10/2025. The survey is open for further contributions.
