资源简介:
Elizabethkingia anophelis, a mosquito midgut commensal and a member of the Bacteroidetes phylum, causes a high mortality rate in individuals with compromised immunity systems. In adult female mosquitoes, it possibly impacts host fecundity by participating in animal erythrocyte lysis, releasing necessary nutrients for vitellogenesis, and thus contributing to egg maturation. However, the mechanism(s) employed in the harsh mosquito midgut remains unclear, particularly, the gene regulation by iron availability before and after blood meals is unexplored. Toward a better understanding of this process, we have analyzed and compared the transcriptome and physiological response of E. anophelis when cultivated on iron-depleted or iron-replete media. RNAseq analysis.
