Supporting Data for Blue Pill or Red Pill? Schooling, Aesthetic Labor and Precarious Reality Among Chinese Working-Class Girls

To have a comprehensive understanding of the cultural mechanism of working-class girls' motivations for aesthetic labor, this study has conducted ethnographical research in a vocational college in China. <br> By participant observation of the learning and internship activities of students in the High-Speed Railway Attendant Program, generated fieldnotes are included in this dataset to record students' daily experience and teaching practices. <br> Semi-structured interviews with ten students (eight female, two male) and one teacher are conducted to further explore their subjective motivations for aesthetic labor. <br>

为全面洞悉工薪阶层女孩从事审美劳动的动机背后的文化机制，本研究在中国某职业院校开展了民族志研究。
本研究通过对高铁乘务专业（High-Speed Railway Attendant Program）学生的学习与实习活动开展参与式观察，将生成的田野笔记纳入本数据集，用以记录学生的日常体验与教学实践情况。
本研究还对10名学生（其中女生8名、男生2名）与1名教师开展半结构化访谈，以进一步探析他们从事审美劳动的主观动机。
