IMOS - Ships of Opportunity - Sea Surface Temperature data collected on the Research Vessel L'Astrolabe

Sea Surface Temperature Sensors for Australian Vessels Sub-Facility aims to supply near real-time SST data (within 24 hours) from vessels of opportunity and research vessels in the Australian region. The data files contain SST underway observations from an SBE 38 sensor installed in a seawater intake collected on trips of a French research and Antarctic resupply vessel participating in the Australian Volunteer Observing Fleet (RV L'Astrolabe - FHZI) between Hobart (Tasmania) and Dumont D'Urville (Antarctica). The voyages take place during the Austral summer. The data are instantaneous hourly measurements. The data have been quality controlled by the Bureau of Meteorology.

澳大利亚船只海表温度传感器子设施旨在为澳大利亚海域内的自愿观测船与科考船提供延迟不超过24小时的近实时海表温度（Sea Surface Temperature, SST）数据。本数据集包含安装于海水取水口的SBE 38传感器所采集的航行中海表温度观测数据，数据来源于参与澳大利亚自愿观测船队（Australian Volunteer Observing Fleet）的法国南极科考补给船“星盘号”（RV L'Astrolabe - FHZI），其航次往返于塔斯马尼亚州霍巴特港与南极迪蒙·迪维尔港之间。上述航次均于南半球夏季执行，数据为每小时瞬时观测值，且已由澳大利亚气象局完成质量控制。
