<br>In the opening image, we're transported to an arboretum flourishing on the ancestral lands of the Multnomah and Clackamas peoples, where a child reimagines his perspective of a well-known grassy expanse. Through the inventive use of binoculars, he shifts his view, exploring the meadow in a way that alters its scale and familiarity, inviting a new relationship with the landscape. The second image introduces us to a unique auditory experience with Underground radio, set against the backdrop of the territories of the Middle Chinookian Tribes, including the Clackamas and Cascades peoples. Here, a child tunes into a sonic collaboration birthed by the collective creativity of her peers and local artists, known collectively as Friends of the Secret Underground. This audio project represents a harmonious blend of youthful imagination and artistic expression, resonating deeply with the listeners on these historic lands.Completing this trio, the third image captures a moment at a summer Maker Camp held on lands historically belonging to the Umatilla, Walla Walla, and Clackamas people. A child delves into the realms of creativity and speculation, constructing an "art-bot" and engaging in a thoughtful inquiry into the concept of gender. By inviting the art-bot to select its identity from a range of options listed on a specially prepared board, the child navigates the complexities of identity and expression, embodying a dual exploration of the possibilities that lie within both the art-bot and the notion of gender itself.

(Friends of the Secret Underground)”。
