IOC World Bird List是一个国际鸟类学家社区创建的开放获取资源，提供基于最新进化分类的世界鸟类名录和一套遵循明确拼写和构建指南的英文名称。该数据库包含11,227个鸟类物种(包括164个已灭绝物种)、19,797个亚种及注释，涵盖44个目、251个科和2,389个属的分类信息，并定期更新新物种、分类修订和名称变更。
The IOC World Bird List is an open-access resource created by an international community of ornithologists. It provides a global avian checklist based on the latest evolutionary taxonomy, as well as a set of English names that follow explicit spelling and construction guidelines. This database contains 11,227 bird species (including 164 extinct species), 19,797 subspecies and accompanying annotations, covering the taxonomic information of 44 orders, 251 families and 2,389 genera. It is regularly updated with new species, taxonomic revisions and name changes.
