Single cell gene expression profile of cells isolated from human aortic valve leaflets.

Aortic valve cell heterogeneity increases during Aortic Valve Stenosis (AVS) progression. We used single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to characterize valve cell phenotype in AVS patients. Overall design: Whole cells were isolated from aortic valve leaflets of age and disease-matched AVS patients. We chose one male and one female patient.
