Victoria's waste projection model

Since 2015–16, the Victorian Government has surveyed the recycling sector and compiled data from external sources to track Victoria’s statewide waste and resource recovery performance. This dashboard presents the results of the survey and data compilation and the results from Victoria’s waste projection model.Victoria’s waste projection model estimates waste generation in Victoria 30 years into the future. The purpose of the model is to inform investment, planning and market needs for government and industry.The data sources used to compile the statewide performance dataset include:- Victorian Recycling Industry Annual Survey- Australian Bureau of Statistics export data- National Plastics Survey data- Environment Protection Authority Victoria Landfill Levy statement data- Landfill composition audit data.The statewide waste and resource recovery performance dataset describes waste generation and its fate within Victoria from 2015–16 to 2023–24.Victoria’s waste projection model uses the statewide waste and resource recovery performance dataset and applies material type-specific projection factors (low, mid and high) to produce baseline projections of waste generation to the year 2053-54. 维多利亚州废弃物预测模型可对该州未来30年的废弃物产生量进行量化估算，其核心目的是为政府与行业的投资决策、规划布局及市场需求研判提供科学依据。

用于构建全域绩效数据集的数据源包括：
- 维多利亚州回收行业年度调研（Victorian Recycling Industry Annual Survey）
- 澳大利亚统计局（Australian Bureau of Statistics）出口数据
- 全国塑料调研数据（National Plastics Survey data）
- 维多利亚州环境保护局（Environment Protection Authority Victoria）填埋税申报数据
- 填埋场成分审计数据

维多利亚州全域废弃物与资源回收绩效数据集覆盖了2015-16财年至2023-24财年间该州的废弃物产生情况及其最终处置去向。

维多利亚州废弃物预测模型以该全域绩效数据集为基础，通过应用针对不同物料类型的低、中、高三种情景预测系数，生成了截至2053-54财年的废弃物产生量基准预测结果，该预测成果已展示于上述数据仪表盘。
