Predicted chemosensory proteins, odorant binding proteins and olfactory receptors in the H. melpomene reference genome

The data file contains putative coding and amino acid sequences for the chemosensory protein (CSP), odorant binding protein (OBP) and olfactory receptor (Or) gene families identified in the version 1.1 Heliconius melpomene melpomene reference genome. These gene predictions were based on manual curation of automated gene predictions (Maker, Augustus) or in silico gene predictions based on reciprocal blast searches of the monarch Danaus plexippus and silkmoth Bombyx mori genomes. Future refinements of these gene models will be greatly improved by the availability of RNA-seq data.

本数据文件包含从版本1.1的红带袖蝶（Heliconius melpomene melpomene）参考基因组中鉴定得到的化学感受蛋白（chemosensory protein, CSP）、气味结合蛋白（odorant binding protein, OBP）以及嗅觉受体（olfactory receptor, Or）基因家族的推定编码序列与氨基酸序列。上述基因预测结果主要基于两类方法生成：一是对自动化基因预测工具（Maker、Augustus）的输出结果开展人工手动校正；二是通过对帝王蝶（Danaus plexippus）与家蚕（Bombyx mori）基因组进行双向BLAST搜索，得到计算机预测的基因序列。后续若可获取RNA测序（RNA-seq）数据，将极大推动这些基因模型的优化与完善工作。
