Dorcoceras hygrometricum Transcriptome or Gene expression

Boea hygrometrica plants require a period of acclimation in order to survive rapid desiccation. We hypothesize that mature plants gradually acquire tolerance to rapid drying during autumn. Immature plants lack this period of acclimation and thus the ability to survive rapid desiccation. To confirm this hypothesize, a global assessment of transcriptome changes was conducted under acclimated and non-acclimated conditions to identify the biological processes that constitute a "memory" of desiccation in Boea hygrometrica that enables tolerance to rapid drying.
