Observations on the distribution and biology of mosquitoes (Diptera, Culicidae) in Luxembourg, 1997-2018

Field observation of occurrences of mosquito species in various environments in Luxembourg, between 1997 and 2018. Larval sampling and adult catches performed within an intuitive sampling strategy throughout the country, inspecting places that look suitable for mosquito occurrence. Samples identified by morphology, PCR and sequencing, or MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. A total of 19 taxa are reported from 39 sites and 40 samples.

1997年至2018年间卢森堡各类生境中蚊虫物种出现情况的野外实地观测。研究人员在该国全境采用直观采样策略开展幼虫采样与成蚊诱捕工作，对疑似适宜蚊虫栖息繁殖的场所进行系统排查。所有样本均通过形态学鉴定、聚合酶链式反应（PCR）、测序技术，或基质辅助激光解吸电离飞行时间质谱（MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry）完成物种鉴定。本数据集共记录了来自39个采样点的40份样本中的19个分类单元。
