资源简介:
A northwest-southeast trending fault is suggested in eastern Collier County based on well-control data for the base of the gray limestone aquifer. Displacement could be as large as 60 ft. The northeast side of fault is the downthrown side and the southwest side of fault is the upthrown side. If this fault is present, it is probably deep seated. It may not actually extend up as high as the Tamiami Formation, and the apparent displacement at the gray limestone aquifer level could be the result of differential rates of deposition caused by concurrent, deep-seated movement along the fault. The arc shows the postulted trend of the fault. The purpose of this report is to evaluate the hydrogeologic framework, hydraulic properties, and ground-water flow of the gray limestone aquifer in southern Florida. The report also emphasizes the geologic framework (stratigraphy and structure) and the hydrogeologic framework (aquifers and confining and semiconfining units) above and below the gray limestone aquifer.
