European newspapers articles:pro and anti democratic leaders represented in traditional media

The dataset contains a structured corpus of 26.187 newspaper articles collected from mainstream centrist/liberal and conservative outlets in France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, and Sweden. The corpus focuses on the representation of European political leaders and includes full article texts (original and English-translated versions), metadata (publication date, section, author, country, political orientation, and time period as well as computational preprocessing variables (word counts, and unique word counts). The data were collected via automated web scraping within predefined time periods, including country specific election-centered time windows and stored in structured dataframe format for computational text analysis.
