Magma mixing between mafic and felsic melts is widespread in open magmatic processes. However, tracing the magma sources of different endmembers is challenging, as the elemental and isotopic compositions of distinct endmembers typically achieve equilibrium during magmatic interactions. Mantle and crustal reservoirs display unique characteristics of mass-independent fractionation of mercury (Hg) isotopes, making Hg isotopes an emerging tool for tracing magmas derived from the mantle and crust.
