This is the public release of the CEMI Career Database, a reproducible research dataset documenting the scholarly workforce of the Central Economic Mathematical Institute (CEMI) of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Highlights SQLite database containing 41 relational tables 1,954 identified researchers 12,211 person-year observations (1961–1987) Bilingual controlled vocabularies and institutional classifications Fully reproducible database build pipeline Self-contained interactive HTML interface Two companion codebooks Queryable provenance linking every record to its archival source The database is reconstructed from Fond 1959, Opis 1 of the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ARAN), combining institute-wide staff reports (otchet) and event-level personnel records (spiski). This release is archived through Zenodo to provide a citable DOI and to ensure long-term preservation and reproducibility.
