Enhance financial inclusion in Uzbekistan
收藏资源简介:
Financial inclusion plays a crucial role in promoting economic growth, particularly in developing countries like Uzbekistan, where a significant portion of the population is still financially excluded. This paper explores the current state of financial inclusion and how to enhance it in Uzbekistan, the study takes key factors such as banking penetration, access to credit, mobile banking usage, and financial literacy. The study uses qualitative and quantitative methods, primarily employing trend analysis to track changes in these indicators over time. Data was gathered from reputable sources, including the National Statistical Committee of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, the World Bank, and the IMF. The qualitative analysis identifies barriers to financial inclusion, including gaps in financial literacy, infrastructure constraints, and regulatory challenges. Furthermore, the study evaluates government initiatives, such as the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion (2023–2025), and their impact on expanding access to financial services. The findings suggest that, despite progress, significant challenges remain in reaching underserved populations, particularly in rural areas. The paper concludes that addressing these barriers through technological advancements, policy reforms, and enhanced collaboration between the government, financial institutions, and NGOs could foster more inclusive financial services and contribute to long-term economic development.
