This data set is about the raw data on deformation of 10 water-unsaturated, 2 anhydrous and 2 water-saturated diopside aggregates at confining pressures of ~300 MPa and temperatures of 1323- 1523K in a Paterson gas-medium apparatus. This data set can be used to inverstigate the dislocation creep of polycrystalline diopside aggregates and water-weakening effects. Results show that the strength of diopside was comparable in strength to that of olivine under dry conditions but weaker than that of olivine under water-saturated conditions in the dislocation creep regime, showing remarkable water-weakening effect.

本数据集涵盖了在围压约300 MPa、温度1323~1523 K的实验条件下,采用帕特森气体介质高压变形装置(Paterson gas-medium apparatus)获取的10份水不饱和、2份无水及2份水饱和的透辉石(diopside)集合体变形原始数据。本数据集可用于研究多晶透辉石集合体的位错蠕变(dislocation creep)行为与水弱化效应。实验结果显示,干态条件下透辉石的强度与橄榄石(olivine)相近;而在水饱和的位错蠕变机制下,透辉石强度低于橄榄石,展现出显著的水弱化效应。
