Landscape Water Budget Program
收藏资源简介:
A Gilbert neighborhood saved millions of gallons of water caused by irrigation inefficiencies. The savings weren't by accident. The homeowners association of said neighborhood, enrolled in Gilbert's Landscape Water Budget Program (LWBP). They made continuous improvements to their watering efficiency and today they are using 5 million gallons less per year compared to their annual usage when they first started the program. 5 million gallons of water is similar to refilling the Heritage District water tower, a 50,000-gallon steel tank, 100 times or refilling the lake at Cosmo Dog Park twice. These are savings for just one neighborhood out of over 250 sites enrolled in the program! The water budget program for large landscape water users in Gilbert is credited with saving hundreds of millions of gallons a year.
