Planktic foraminiferal assemblage records and coarse fraction in sediment core SSD-044/GC-01

We have reconstructed the upper water column structure of the central Equatorial Indian Ocean (5°N & 77°E). The marine sedimentary core was collected during the 044th Cruise of RV Sindhu Sadhana (SSD-044/GC01) using Gravity corer, which covers the period of the last 43 ka. Ecologically sensitive Planktic foraminifera species and Coarse fraction data demonstrate the implication of the Indian Winter monsoon and the associated change in the surface productivity condition.

本研究重建了赤道印度洋中部海域（北纬5°、东经77°）的上层水柱结构。研究团队通过“辛都·萨达纳”号（RV Sindhu Sadhana）科考船第044次航次（SSD-044/GC01），使用重力取芯器（Gravity corer）采集了海洋沉积岩芯，该岩芯的沉积序列覆盖了过去43 ka的地质时期。对生态敏感型浮游有孔虫（Planktic foraminifera）物种与粗组分数据的分析结果，揭示了印度冬季风及其伴随的表层生产力状况变化的指示意义。
