PIP: Characterization of the Potential Microbial Reservoir in Arctic Soils

This project will offer the opportunity to describe microbial communities across uninvestigated areas, to understand potential risks such as antimicrobial resistance in Arctic soil environments and the potential drivers for their existence, and for future research to monitor changes in these communities over time. This data could be used to help researchers gain an understanding of the role that the soil microbial community plays in the health of the terrestrial ecosystem.
