In this study, we used rice seedlings as test plants. Our hypothesis is that when rice plants are under phosphorus stress they would hire some bacteria with specific functions to protect their growth. To testify it, a P deficient paddy soil was employed and three P levels were designed by applying P fertilizer. After rice seedlings were transplanted, the plant roots were sampled three times at 7, 14 and 21 days after transplantation, and the root endophytic bacterial communities were intensively studied with molecular techniques. The objective is to explore the dynamic responses of root endophytes on P deficiency.
