Dataset and code for "Nonlinear Thresholds and Interaction Drivers of Ecosystem Service Tradeoffs in the Three-River Source Region: A XGBoost-SHAP Approach

In the Three-River Source region, ecosystem services are an important basis for ecological security; managing this delicate, cold, high-altitude area requires an understanding of its trade-offs, synergies, and driving forces. Using the InVEST model, we estimated water yield (WY), carbon storage (CS), soil conservation (SC), and habitat quality (HQ) in the Three-River Source Region at five-year intervals from 2000 to 2020. Trade-offs and synergies were assessed via Spearman’s correlation and root mean square deviation (RMSD), while drivers and nonlinear effects were explored using XGBoost-SHAP with spatially clustered cross-validation.
