Annotated record of the detailed examination of Mn deposits from DSDP Leg 87 (Holes 582B, 583, 583A, 583D, 583E, 583F, 584)

The DSDP Leg 87 expedition was dedicated to drilling active margins and was designed to investigate two very different regions: the Nankai Trough and the Japan Trench. The broad objective was to study the location, directions, and rates of lithospheric plate convergence for this active margin zone off Japan.

深海钻探计划（Deep Sea Drilling Project, DSDP）第87航次以活动大陆边缘钻探为核心任务，旨在对两个差异显著的区域展开研究：南海海槽（Nankai Trough）与日本海沟（Japan Trench）。本次航次的总体研究目标为探究日本近海该活动大陆边缘带内，岩石圈板块汇聚作用的发生位置、运动方向及汇聚速率。
