This study aims to investigate the transcriptomic changes induced by NDRG2 (N-Myc downstream-regulated gene 2) overexpression in astrocytes to elucidate its role in regulating astrocyte-mediated mechanisms underlying depression. NDRG2 is implicated in stress responses and neurological disorders, but its specific function in astrocyte biology and depression pathogenesis remains unclear. By performing RNA sequencing on NDRG2-overexpressing astrocytes, we seek to identify differentially expressed genes and key signaling pathways involved in depressive-like behaviors. The findings will provide insights into how NDRG2 modulates astrocyte function and contributes to depression, potentially uncovering novel therapeutic targets for mood disorders.
