Methane and carbon fluxes measured at various locations within the drained thaw lake basin near Barrow, Alaska, 2012

In 2012, gas fluxes were measured at various locations within the drained thaw lake basin previously used for the Biocomplexity Experiment (BE), near Barrow, Alaska (AK). In two separate experiments collars were arranged in three ice wedge polygons within the central region of the BE, referred to as A, B and C. Carbon dioxide-CO2 and methane-CH4 fluxes were measured using a Los Gatos Research portable trace gas analyzer.

2012年，研究团队在阿拉斯加州巴罗（Barrow, AK）附近一处曾用于生物复杂性实验（Biocomplexity Experiment, BE）的疏干热融湖盆内的多个点位开展了气体通量测定。在两项独立实验中，研究人员于该实验区域中部的三个冰楔多边形（ice wedge polygons）内布设了气体采样颈圈，分别标记为A、B、C三组。本研究采用Los Gatos Research公司生产的便携式痕量气体分析仪，完成了二氧化碳（CO₂）与甲烷（CH₄）的通量测定。
