Respiratory samples taken from 20 paediatric and 20 adult CF patients over a period of 3 years retrospectively analysed. This allowed a comprehensive comparison the diagnostic microbiological culture with targeted quantitative polymerase chain reaction (QPCR) for detection of two emblematic pathogens of CF, <i>Staphylococcus aureus</i> and <i>Pseudomonas aeruginosa</i>, which are understood to be readily culturable pathogens.

本研究对3年间采集自20名儿科囊性纤维化(Cystic Fibrosis, CF)患者及20名成人囊性纤维化患者的呼吸道样本开展回顾性分析。该分析可针对两种囊性纤维化标志性病原体——金黄色葡萄球菌(*Staphylococcus aureus*)与铜绿假单胞菌(*Pseudomonas aeruginosa*,二者均为公认的易培养病原体),实现诊断微生物培养与靶向定量聚合酶链反应(quantitative polymerase chain reaction, QPCR)两种检测方法的全面对比。
