Patterns of temperature-dependent sex determination in gonochoristic fish.

Abbreviations: TSD, temperature-dependent sex determination; GSD+TE, genotypic sex determination plus temperature effects; RTD, range of temperature during development under natural conditions; n, number of sex ratio datapoints (see Table S1 for references); r2 is the correlation coefficient of the regression between temperature and sex ratio produced, whereas F, DFn, DFd and P indicate the value of the F-test, the degrees of freedom of the numerator and denominator and the significance, respectively, to determine whether the slope differs from zero, thus indicating that there was a significant effect of temperature on sex ratios.
