This dataset accompanies the research article titled <b>“Disaster Preparedness among Physicians in Southwestern China: A Multi-Tiered Survey of Competencies and Training Needs in Guizhou Province,”</b> submitted to the <i>Healthcare</i> journal.The dataset comprises responses from a cross-sectional survey conducted between June and August 2023, involving <b>760 practicing physicians</b> across <b>primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare institutions</b> in <b>Guizhou Province, China</b>.Variables include demographic information, self-assessed disaster preparedness competencies, prior training experiences, and perceived training needs.All data have been anonymized. A data dictionary is provided to facilitate interpretation.This dataset may support further research and policy development related to disaster preparedness training, public health capacity-building, and emergency response planning in low-resource settings.
