This dataset compiles statistics on employees and labor compensation for each unit under the Ministry of Forestry and its directly affiliated institutions, sourced from the 1996 National Forestry Statistics. The included statistical indicators are as follows: unit name, number of units, total annual-end employee headcount, employed rural labor force, staff and workers among the annual-end employee headcount, female staff and workers, contract staff and workers, regular staff and workers, laid-off staff and workers, long-term staff and workers, temporary staff and workers, other employees among the annual-end employee headcount, average annual employee headcount, staff and workers among the average annual employee headcount, total labor compensation of all employees, total wages of staff and workers, time-rated and piece-rate standard wages, bonuses and excess piece-rate wages, allowances and subsidies, living allowances for laid-off staff and workers, and compensation for other employees. In addition, the 1996 National Forestry Statistics cover personnel wage and education data of the entire forestry system, including both afforestation and forestry industrial sectors.
