Thai ricefish (Oryzias minutillus) are the smallest species in genus Oryzias that are widely distributing throughout Thailand. They are an emphasis in trophic levels of food web within a freshwater ecosystem. However, the data of molecular biology in this fish is inadequate and has remained to investigate. Therefore, in this study, we surveyed the genome data of Thai ricefish collected from Mae Hong Son Province, northwestern Thailand. In an initial assembly, total genome size of Thai ricefish was 824 Mb and 16,954 bp for mitochondria. Total size of contig and scaffold were 547.7 and 585.9 Mb, respectively.
