Supplemental Table S6. Differential gene expression between HIGH group and LOW group of hematological parameters.

Genetic and phenotypic (co)variances of hematological parameters were performed with 1,610 genotype data and 5,499 hematological parameter records from 4,543 cows, using the Average Information Restricted Maximum Likelihood method. Also, we assessed the genetic relationship among these indicators and other economically important traits in dairy cattle breeding. Finally, we carried out genome-wide association studies and candidate gene analyses, and blood samples from 21 primiparous cows were used for further validation of candidate genes through RNA sequencing analyses.

本研究采用平均信息约束极大似然法（Average Information Restricted Maximum Likelihood），依托4543头奶牛的1610份基因型数据与5499条血液学参数记录，对血液学参数的遗传与表型（共）方差开展了分析。此外，本研究还评估了上述血液学指标与奶牛育种领域其他经济重要性状间的遗传相关性。最后，本研究实施了全基因组关联研究（genome-wide association studies）与候选基因分析，并利用21头初产奶牛的血液样本，通过RNA测序（RNA sequencing）分析完成了候选基因的进一步验证。
