The Optra IoT Platform is unique in that pipelines are built with your metadata. Developers simply provide instructions for building ingestions and refinements. This process improves efficiency by decreasing the time to ingest and transform data, versus having to code an entire program.

An example of a typical Optra IoT Platform metadata ingestion includes the following simple steps;

• Provide the location of data (table name)
• Choose the type of ingestion (incremental or full load)

Optra Platform has a purpose-built Databricks API Engine that automatically pulls together ingestion and refinement metadata and creates end-to-end data pipelines within Databricks including schedule and event notification management. The Optra Platform protects against unnecessary data pipelines from being created. Optra IoT Platform focuses on simplified promotion of the metadata or instructions, no longer requiring complex CI/CD workflows. This approach allows for rapid deployment of data ingestion or refinement changes from development to production.

The goal is to create a Lakehouse for everyone in the enterprise, eliminating data silos by ingesting all device and business data into a common medallion Lakehouse architecture empowered by Databricks Delta Lake.
