Ground based observations of ICE-POP 2018 campaign used for DESCAM-3D

This dataset contains some ground based measurements of the 7-9 March 2018 snowfall event during ICE-POP 2018 campaign in South Korea. The data are provided as comma separated values (CSV) files, organized by instrument type and locations. PIP_particle_size_distribution.csvParticle size distribution (PSD) data are derived from the Particle Imaging Package (PIP) instrument. Columns correspond to observation times, and rows correspond to particle diameter bins (in mm). The particle number concentration in #/L-1 /µm-1. Precipitation_data.csvTime evolution of the surface precipitation accumulation (in mm) at four measurement sites by the Pluvio instrument. Precipitation_type_BKC.csv Precipitation_type_GWU.csv Precipitation_type_MHS.csv Precipitation_type_YPO.csvThe Precipitation_type_* files contain precipitation type classifications (in rain, mixed and ice categories) from the Parsivel instrument at four different observation sites. Each cell represents the percentage of occurrence of precipitation types within ±1.5 h (3 hour time window) relative to the centered indicated time. X_band_radar_reflectivity_data.csvRadar reflectivity observation profiles from an X-band radar instrument. Columns represent time, rows represent altitude (km above ground level).
