NRS-16094 | Register of State Rail Authority Policy Documents

This series was compiled in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, 1989 (Act No. 5, 1989) section 14 (3) There are 76 numbered sheets and seven un-numbered, each bearing the registration details of one policy document. The un-numbered registrations refer to documents produced outside the State Rail Authority. Each registration gives the title of the document, the office or person responsible for its creation, and its status under the Freedom of Information Act, 1989.Custody HistoryFrom 1955 until 2000 the State Rail Authority of New South Wales maintained an ‘in house archives’ consisting of the archival records of the Authority, its predecessor agencies and the private railway companies taken over by the government. The date ranges of the records were from 1849 until 2000. When the decision was made to close the ‘State Rail Archives’ the parts of the collection that were required as State archives were transferred to the State Records Authority of NSW. Those record series were incorporated into the State Records series system of archives control and were re-numbered.This series was formerly part of the State Rail Archives collection. It may have been viewed in the State Rail Archives as series R293 and could have been previously cited as such in notes by researchers at State Rail Archives or in publications or unpublished works.

保管历史
1955年至2000年间，新南威尔士州铁路管理局（State Rail Authority of New South Wales）设有一套“内部档案馆”，馆藏内容涵盖该局、其前身机构及政府接管的私营铁路公司的档案记录，档案记录的时间跨度为1849年至2000年。当决策层决定关停“州铁路档案馆”时，该馆藏中需作为州级档案留存的部分被移交至新南威尔士州档案管理局（State Records Authority of NSW）。此类档案系列已被纳入州档案管理体系，并重新赋予编号。

本系列原隶属于州铁路档案馆馆藏，曾以系列编号R293在州铁路档案馆供查阅，此前亦可能被州铁路档案馆的研究人员在笔记、出版物或未刊作品中以此编号引用。
