The raw genomic data of Trypanosoma carassii isolated from large yellow croaker

The genome of <i>trypanosoma sp</i>.isolate was assembled by PacBio HiFi and Hi-C sequencing technology. We obtained the high-quality genome of the first aquatic isolate of trypanosomiasis. This high-quality genome provides a valuable basis for further understanding and prevention of fish verrucosis, and it lays an important foundation for further research on the biology, host-parasite interaction, evolution and epidemiology of fish trypanosomes in the future. Most importantly, it opens up new avenues for the rational development of urgently needed diagnostic tools and treatment strategies to address this economically significant and currently unmanageable disease in global aquaculture.
