Effects of Training on Visual Attention in Construction Machine Tasks

Eye tracking and performance datasets of a longitudinal study comprising 3 data collection experiments (2 on a simulator and 1 on a real heavy machine) of novice heavy machine operators, before and after completing a training course aimed at learning how to operate a heavy machine. The eye tracking dataset comprises the division of the 2 experimental tasks (rock handling and earth moving) into task phases. The Load, Move, and Unload phases were analyzed.
