This repository contains the data accompanying the paper: Papadopoulou M, Hildenbrandt H., Storms R., Carere C., Verhulst S., Hemelrijk CK (2026) A mechanistic understanding of collective escape in starlings. Communications Biology, 9, 1055. https://doi.org/10.1038/s42003-026-10173-4 The simulated data of starling flocks are generated by the computational model StarEscape. Each simulated flock has a uniquely named folder, and data are grouped into subfolders based on their assigned Simulated Flock ids (SF, see manuscript).
