Genome assemblies of Antarctica fungi

This study aims seeking for alternative production of PUFAs in a sustainable way exploiting the ability of microfungi isolated in Antarctica to enhance their amount of P/UFA under cold stress and by growing them on substrates deriving from food wastes such as brewery wastes and milk whey in an optic of a sustainable and circular exploitation of natural resources. The entire process has been also scaled up under fermenters conditions to increase and standardize the yield in a PUFA-enriched fungal biomass.
