资源简介:
Ascites syndrome in both human and chicken has been traditionally known as a metabolic disorder. However, recent scientific findings have suggested a genetic base for the susceptibility to develop AS. The complexity of molecular mechanisms underlying the influence of AS on chicken main organs has not been comprehensively elucidated. In this work, after precise differentiating the ascitic chickens from those healthy ones, we conducted a transcriptome profile comparison between the ascitic and healthy chickens within both males and females using high-throughput RNA-seq data. The results revealed a total of 1,152 differentially expressed genes (DEGs; 669 up- and 483 down-regulated) in males and 1,803 DEGs in females (489 up- and 1,314 down-regulated) between the ascitic and healthy chickens. There were 450 DEGs in common in both males and females. Overall design: Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of liver RNA-seq data between the ascitic and healthy meat-type chickens
