A 30 m-resolution wetland waterfowl habitat suitability assessment dataset of the Western Songnen Plain, developed in 2000, which reflects the habitat suitability status of waterfowl in the Western Songnen Plain in 1990. The Western Songnen Plain is one of the most critical habitats for waterbirds. Its ecosystem has suffered severe damage, primarily featuring wetland loss and grassland degradation caused by human disturbances and climate change. These events have led to a significant decline in both waterbird species richness and their overall population. Regular and timely monitoring of changes in waterbird habitat suitability and clarification of their underlying driving factors are crucial for maintaining regional ecological security. This dataset can be widely utilized by scientific researchers in relevant disciplines including geography, wetland ecology, environmental protection and other related fields.
