This dataset documents the records of key regional fast-growing and high-yield timber forest base construction projects (pulp and paper raw material forest base projects) contained in the fast-growing and high-yield timber forest planning database. The recorded items include region, province, project name, associated enterprises, project construction scope, total construction scale (ten thousand hectares), construction scale in Phase I (2001–2005), construction scale in Phase II (2006–2010), construction scale in Phase III (2011–2015), cultivation scales (ten thousand hectares) for new afforestation and stand transformation, annual production forecast (ten thousand cubic meters), production scale and development scale of the associated enterprises, and other related information. The fast-growing and high-yield timber forest planning database encompasses the construction scale, scope, cultivation methods, annual production forecast, project construction investment and other information of all fast-growing and high-yield timber forest construction projects across their three phases (2001–2005, 2006–2010, and 2011–2015). This dataset can provide detailed reference materials for research on the implementation status of fast-growing and high-yield timber forest projects and the forecasting of China's timber production.
