Authorship according to sex/gender in contributions to Spanish scientific journals of Ancient History (1970-2020)

This database corresponds to the study of the authorship of women and men in 3913 contributions published in 7 Spanish journals of Ancient History between 1970 and 2020. It analyses the sex/gender of authorship, its proportion and its development over time. In addition, the possible existence of differences depending on whether the contributions are single-authored or co-authored, as well as on the position of signature in the works of more than one person, is addressed. Likewise, the topic of these investigations is taken into account. This study shows that the proportion of female authors is low and, furthermore, that a progressive increase in female authorship cannot be observed in the last decades.

本数据集对应一项针对1970年至2020年间7种西班牙古典史学期刊发表的3913篇稿件的作者性别研究。本研究分析了作者的性别（sex/gender）构成、占比及其随时间的演变态势。此外，本研究还探讨了稿件在单作者与合著两种情形下，以及多人合著作品中的署名位次所可能存在的差异。同时，本研究亦将研究主题纳入考量范畴。研究结果显示，女性作者的占比偏低，且近数十年来并未呈现出持续增长的态势。
