The IASI/Metop-A ULB-LATMOS dust optical depth L2 product dataset includes the results of a flexible and robust dust retrieval algorithm from measurements of the Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI). The method is based on the calculation of a hyperspectral range index (HRI) and subsequent conversion to optical depth at 10 micron via a neural network. This conversion takes into account a large number of dependencies, including the viewing angle, temperature and humidity profile, dust altitude. The latter is based on a CALIPSO-derived climatology. Full details of the product, and validation/intercomparison can be found in [Clarisse et al. (2019)](https://doi.org/10.1029/2018JD029701). The product was originally developed within ESA’s aerosol CCI project, and new data is processed through Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). Current Version: V3.1.0, available since 2022-02-21
