The distance between a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and the sea-ice underside was measured by a single-beam upward-looking acoustic sonar altimeter (Tritech PA500) attached to the ROV during the Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) expedition between November 2019 and September 2020. Sea-ice draft was derived by subtracting the distance to the sea-ice underside from the ROV depth, uncorrected for ROV attitude (pitch, roll). An offset between the depth reference (ROV bumper bars) and the altimeter of 0.105 m is accounted for in the presented data.

2019年11月至2020年9月,在北极气候研究多学科漂流观测站(MOSAiC)科考航次中,搭载于遥控水下机器人(Remotely Operated Vehicle, ROV)的单波束向上指向声学声呐测高仪(Tritech PA500),完成了该遥控水下机器人与海冰下表面之间距离的测量。本数据集通过遥控水下机器人的作业深度减去其至海冰下表面的距离,推导得到海冰吃水深度,该计算未对遥控水下机器人的姿态(俯仰、横滚)进行校正。本次发布的数据已计入深度参考基准(遥控水下机器人缓冲杆)与测高仪之间0.105米的偏移量。
