NOS1AP and Capon associated Impaired Healing in Those With Diabetic Foot Ulcers. Homo sapiens

Diabetic foot ulcers are a common and severe comorbidity associated with diabetes mellitus. Diabetic foot ulcers are associated with lower extremity amputation. Little is known about genetic factors that might be associated with diabetic foot ulcer healing. Previously we found an associated between lower extremity amputation and NOS1AP genetic variation. The goal of this study was to evaluate the association of genetic variation in NOS1AP with respect to diabetic foot ulcer healing by the 16th week of care.
