This dataset provides soluble ion analysis data collected from snow and ice samples acquired between Zhongshan Station and Dome A, Antarctica, during China’s 29th Antarctic Scientific Expedition in 2012/2013. Soluble ions within snow and ice serve as reliable proxies for reconstructing past climate and environmental changes. Clarifying the sources, transport routes, deposition patterns, and in-ice secondary alteration mechanisms of these ions allows for the reconstruction of past climate and environmental variations, which is of great significance for glaciological research.
