This Dataverse includes the replication data for "Mecp2 Deficiency Impairs Microscale Cortical Network Topology and Dynamics in a Rett Syndrome Mouse Model." This study investigated the effect of a loss-of-function mutation in Mecp2 on the development of microscale functional neuronal networks in primary cortical cultures from a mouse model of Rett syndrome. ** Dataverse contents: ** Spike time series: Spike time series for 60-electrode microelectrode array (MEA) recordings from wildtype (WT) and heterozygous (HET) or hemizygous (KO) for a Mecp2 deletion (exon 3 and 4) murine 2D cortical cultures at days-in-vitro (DIV) 14, 21, 28, and 35. The MEA voltage time series were first bandpass filtered (third-order Butterworth filter, 600-8000 Hz). Template-based spike detection was performed using the bior1.5 template in MATLAB (MathWorks) with a cost parameter of -0.0627. Metadata for the spike time series: Genotype and DIV for each MEA recording is included in the .mat file (open in MATLAB) with the spike time series. Analysis code: MATLAB scripts used for the analysis of the MEA spike time series. Upload in progress.
