Educational Integration Experience of Children from Ukraine and Moldova in Switzerland: Survey Results from the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation (PCF) Intercultural Exchange Project, 2025

This dataset contains the results of a survey conducted as part of an intercultural exchange project under the Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation (PCF) program in Switzerland in February 2025. The study, carried out at the Pestalozzi Village in Trogen, aimed to investigate the educational integration experiences of children from Ukraine and Moldova within the Swiss education system through intercultural communication strategies. The survey involved children from Ukraine (n=34) and Moldova (n=55), as well as PCF educator (n=1), focusing on the analysis of integration processes in secondary education. The data is presented in three .csv tables, which include participants’ responses regarding their learning experiences, intercultural interactions, and adaptation to the new educational environment. Project Context: The study draws on the Pestalozzi Village concept, which promotes an inclusive educational environment and addresses linguistic and cultural barriers. Methodology: The survey was conducted through anonymous questionnaires designed with consideration of intercultural aspects and the needs of children with migration experience. Data was collected in February 2025 during training sessions and educational activities at Pestalozzi Village. Data Significance: The results confirm the effectiveness of intercultural approaches to educational integration, particularly in addressing social challenges such as the adaptation of children with migration experience. The dataset can be used for further research in comparative pedagogy, the development of integration programs, and the adaptation of PCF methodologies to other educational contexts.
