Differential gene expression of RNA extracted from A549 cell line cultured with Amorphous Calcium Carboante (ACC) or without

Amorphous calcium carbonate (ACC) is a non-crystalline form of calcium carbonate, which is composed of aggregated nano-size primary particles. Here, we wanted to evaluate how ACC affects gene expression in a human lung cancer cell line (A549). Overall design: A549 cell line was cultured with DMEM/F12 medium (control) or with DMEM/F12 calcium delpeted medium to which 2mM elemntal calcium as ACC was added. Cells were cultred for 8 consecutive passages. After which, total RNA extraction was perfomred and samples went for RNAseq. Experiment was done in triplicates for eacg group (ACC or control) (N=6).
