These data sets include measurements of total carbon (TC), total
organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (N) and total sulphur (S) made on
whole rock samples collected as part of the Cape Roberts Project. The
analytical methods used are described in the references included in
this DIF.
The Cape Roberts Project was a collaborative effort among the
Antarctic programs of the United States, New Zealand, Italy, Germany,
Australia and the United Kingdom to collect a series of cores for the
purposes of investigating Antarctic tectonic and climatic history.
Drilling was performed using a drilling rig located on fast ice in
McMurdo Sound.
